Information showing migration trends in several countries.

I found this link above, it is a very interesting website showing:

  • The average annual number of migrants from 2000 – 2005 globally
  • The percentage located in each country of the worlds migrant population
  • The amount of money sent to each country through migration
  • The money sent home as share of gdp in each country

The results are shown on a world map and are really simple to read, understand and compare.

The tables show that nearly 190 million people, about 3% of the worlds population lived outside their country of birth in 2005. The diagrams clearly show each demographic of this.
